Contract Chaplain/Spiritual Care Provider

Spiritual Care Services of Maine (SCS Maine) is seeking contract chaplains to
provide in person spiritual care to people who have experienced hardship as a
result of the fall flooding in several counties in Maine. The contract chaplain will
work with individuals, families, and groups to provide outreach, emotional
support, individual and group crisis counseling, public education, and referrals
when needed. Chaplain will represent the program of support in the community
and network with other agencies and partners to ensure needs of survivors are
met. Chaplain will offer in person presentations to community groups on disaster
reactions, coping skills, and stress management. Candidates may be assigned
to any or all depending on availability and preference. This is a nine-month grant,
likely starting in May or June, covering the following counties: Androscoggin,
Oxford, Franklin, Somerset and Kennebec counties. Coverage of all counties is
anticipated to merit 60-80 hours per week and so would be covered in multiple
positions, such as 5-6, 10 hour positions per week each. Candidates must have
advanced theological or cultural training and have completed a unit of clinical
pastoral education/training to be considered. Chaplain must have computer and
cell phone and be able to interact with google docs/sheets/forms and slides.
