Accounting Manager

The Episcopal Diocese of Maine is seeking a full-time Accounting Manager to provide overall management of the financial accounting systems and related activities on behalf of the diocese, under the direction of the Finance Director. The Accounting Manager will oversee all bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting functions for the diocese, Trustees of Diocesan Funds and Corporate Sole. This will include supporting external audits, managing, and reporting on the budgets, and managing the distribution and reporting of grants, given, or obtained. The Accounting Manager will serve as the Assistant Treasurer of the Trustees of Diocesan Funds and as such will calculate quarterly dividend payouts, prepare letters of instruction for investment and withdrawals, and manage wire transfers and stock gifts. In support of our congregations, they will oversee assessment calculations and collections, provide education and training around financial matters, and coordinate financial aspects of parochial reports.
