MCC Welcomes New Board Member
The Maine Council of Churches is pleased to announce that Rev. Alyssa Lodewick is the new denominational representative to the Board, appointed by Conference Minister Rev. Deborah Blood, Maine Conference, United Church of Christ. She currently serves as the Associate Director of the Bangor Theological Seminary Center in Portland, where she administers their Innovation Incubator for transformational projects in the fields of religion, ministry, practical theology and spirituality. Her responsibilities also include communications for the Center through print, digital, and social media channels. Before joining BTS, Alyssa served the Maine Conference of the UCC as a placement assistant. Before coming to Maine, she served as a Vice President at the Urban League of Southern Connecticut. Alyssa currently volunteers as the President of the Back Cove Neighborhood Association in Portland, and as a Trustee at the State Street Church (UCC), Portland. She is a graduate of the College of William & Mary (BA), Northwestern University (MS), Brown University (MA) and Boston University Schools of Theology and Social Work (MDiv/MSW).
